Introduction: Stress from many sources has been reported for some time by student nurses. The sources are like academic sources, parental expectations, and competition for grades, relationships and career choices. 1 Academic sources of stress like examinations, long hours of study, assignments and grades, lack of free time, and lack of timely feedback after their performance, special elements of the academic programme like arrangement and conduction of workshops, also produce stress among student nurses. And also clinical sources of stress like while taking care of critically ill patients, interpersonal conflict with peer group, insecurity about personal clinical competence, fear related to complete their clinical requirements, dealing with uncooperative patients, work overload, prolonged standing, learning psychomotor skills, e.g. administering injections and performing catheterization, have also been associated with high levels of stress. 2 In addition, stress leads to psychological morbidity which may have profound adverse consequences for individual nursing students. 3 Nursing student's experiences of their clinical practice provide greater insight to deelop an effective clinical teaching strategy in nursing education. They experienced stress as a result of feeling incompetent and lack of professional nursing skills and knowledge to take care of various patients in the clinical setting. 4 There are numerous stressors for the students to develop stress in nursing education like, using critical thinking skills during their written examination. 5 When compared with general student population the nursing students perceive more stress. 6 Design: One group pretest posttest, pre experimental design was selected for the study. Subjects: The participants were 60 staff nurses from selected hospitals at Jaipur. Methods: Purposive sampling technique was used for the present study. Data collection tool: A stress rating scale was used to collect data from the themes. Data analysis: The obtained data was analysed by using descriptive and inferential statistics. Frequency, percentage, means, and variance was used to explain socio-demographic variables and to assess the extent the extent of stress. The extent of significance was set at 0.05 levels. Results: within the pre intervention stage, the subject had mild stress with a mean of fifty .6±.7.9, whereas in post intervention, there was an enormous mean stress reduction/management of 31.0±9.1. An enormous association was found between age, gender, status, transportation facilities, awareness of pranayama and source of knowledge and mean pre intervention stress score. Conclusion: In pre intervention, 46.7% of the themes had moderate stress whereas in post intervention all the themes had only mild stress. The study findings indicate that the pranayama program was effective for stress reduction/management among staff nurses.

Writing this paper aims to explain the importance of pranayama practice as yoga and wellness in the era of modernization. Some data show that the level of stress in society is getting more and more people who experience stress from various circles. This happens because of work, lifestyle and also the social environment of the community. Pranayama teaches us to breathe consciously which can reduce emotional turmoil, so that we can breathe more balanced, calm and deep. Conscious breathing works directly at the center of integration of mind and body. Memory is the movement of breathing, and breathing is the movement of memory. With the various problems experienced by society today, the role of pranayama is very important in curing diseases that are experienced by many people, such as the deep stress caused by the problems of life in this modern era, which can disturb the mind to make people suffer from stress diseases which are also stress diseases. triggers physical diseases that can harm the body so that it cannot carry out activities in a fit manner. Pranayamaas yoga and wellness has a very positive effect on society in this modern era. By doing pranayama people can control their breath so that they can also control their minds and if they can control their minds, the stress level in society can decrease.

Background: In recent years the role of school principals is becoming increasingly complex and responsible. Methods: This study was voluntarily attended by 419 Italian school principals who were administered the Psychological Stress Measurement (MSP), Mindfulness Organizing Scale (MOS), Polychronic-Monochronic Tendency Scale (PMTS), and the Scale of Emotions at Work (SEW). Results: The study has produced a path analysis model in which the relationships between the main predictors of principals’ work discomfort were explained. The effect of depressive anxiety on perceived discomfort (ß = 0.517) found a protective mediator in the mindfulness component that recognizes the sharing as a fundamental operational tool (ß = −0.206), while an increasing sense of effort and confusion could significantly amplify the experience of psychological discomfort associated with the exercise of school leadership (ß = 0.254). Perceived stress is higher for students in various healthcare courses. Previous studies have shown that pranayama practice is beneficial for combating stress and improve cardiovascular functions but both fast and slow pranayama practice produce different physiological responses. Influence of Pranayama on Adjustment in School Going Adolescents

Adolescent is emotionally unstable and unpredictable period, of psychological growth, as well as period of storm and stress. This is the time when personality development is ascertained and new adjustments have to be take place. Aim of this study was to investigate the effect of Pranayama on adjustment of school going Adolescents. A pre-and post experimental research design with control group is used in this investigation. Two groups of subjects, i.e., control and experimental deployed for this study. The subjects of experimental group underwent Pranayama practice i.e. Anulom-Vilom Pranayama with Antha and Bahya Kumbhak, internal and external respectively, for at least 30 minutes while subjects of control group engaged in normal activity.The subjects of both groups administered on Sinha and Singh’s AISS scale (Hindi version). The data collected on this test were analysed before commencing the intervention as Pre-experimental stage or phase. Post-experimental stage or phase-I. & Post-experimental stage or after 2 month and after 4 month of practce of pranyama respectively. The subjects of the experimental group decreased the mean scores of adjustment in all the three areas viz. Emotional, Social and Educational at highly significant level of p < 0.0005 at post-phase- II as compared to their pre-state of the experiment which indicates that subjects of the experimental group fully attain Good level of their adjustment.
