2023 Mercedes-Benz C-Class: Specs, Prices, Ratings, and Reviews (2023)

Mercedes-Benz introduced a fully-redesigned C-Class for 2022. Coming off of a full redesign that ushers in the fifth generation of the vehicle, we expect the 2023 Mercedes-Benz C-Class to be a carryover model.

The 2023 C-Class is expected to share the same design as the 2022 model. The current C-Class wears a muscular, yet upscale look. The wide oval grille, large air intakes, and chiseled hood give the C-Class a sporty feel at the front. The C-Class has deep body lines that connect with the rear fenders and taillights. Diamond-shaped taillights, dual exhaust outlets, and a chiseled rear bumper are standout elements at the back.

The interior of the current C-Class is equal parts luxury and technology. Large screens dominate the dashboard, which curves and flows into the center console. Oval air vents are positioned high up on the dashboard and the center console has minimal analog buttons for a minimalist design. The 2022 C-Class wheelbase has been stretched for extra rear-seat legroom, while the model comes with opulent materials. We expect the interior of the 2023 C-Class to remain the same as the current model that’s on sale.

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz C-Class will be available with cutting-edge tech features. Standard equipment should include an 11.9-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, the automaker’s latest MBUX infotainment system, a fingerprint scanner, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a voice-activated digital assistant, and a Wi-Fi hot spot. Available features include a Burmester audio system and a wireless charging pad.

At the time of writing, we know that the 2023 C-Class will come with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The engine features a 48-volt electric motor and a nine-speed automatic transmission. The C-Class comes with rear-wheel drive and is available with all-wheel drive. We expect the C43 to continue to feature a 385-hp twin-turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine and the C63 S to have a 503-hp twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine. Both AMG models come with AWD.

We don’t expect to see any changes to the 2023 C-Class list of safety features. The current model comes with blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, parking damage detection, and automatic high-beam assist. Available safety features include adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, and a semi-autonomous driver-assist system.

With the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class set to arrive in the first half of 2022, we expect the 2023 model to arrive at the beginning of 2023.

Pricing for the 2023 C-Class should remain close to the current model’s range of $44,600 up to $48,550.

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz C-Class will compete against the BMW 3-Series, Audi A4, Genesis G70, and Alfa Romeo Giulia.
